Goriška Brda

One of Slovenia's most important wine regions, which lies on the border with the Italian Friuli, is characterized by its mineral "Opok" soils. The elegant wines reflect the diversity of the region between the Alps and the Adriatic.

Ferdinand Winery

The story of the Ferdinand Winery began in 1992, when Matjaž Četrtič took over the old family winery. His vision was to build a winery that would offer high-quality wines, and this vision was immediately taken up by his father Mar an, who supported him morally and financially. A few years later, Matjaz's brother Iztok joined the company, which gave Mat až the opportunity to focus on marketing and sales. Today, Ferdinand is one of the most recognised brands in the field of Slovenian quality wines and is undoubtedly one of the leading wineries in the world of Rebula. Incidentally, the brand name Ferdinand goes back to Mat až's great-grandfather, who paved the way for the work in the vineyard.

Sinefinis

Sinefinis comes from the region where the Collio of Friuli-Venezia Giulia meets the Brda in Slovenia. Historically, the area belonged to various feudal lords and monarchies until it was divided by the Treaty of Paris in 1947, resulting in two wine-growing zones. Winemakers Robert Princic and Matjaž Cetrtic, who live near the border, met during a Wine Business Masters in Trieste and decided to create a cross-border wine. The result is Rebolium Sinefinis, a wine made from the autochthonous Ribolla Gialla/Rumena Rebula, which epitomises the unity of the two regions.
